I'm currently studying at Glasgow university and have to start thinking about my dissertation. At the moment i think i will be studying transition towns and the transition model and how it works to encourage sustainable development, how effective it is, how accessible a sustainable lifestyle is etc.

I hope to use transition tynedale and TTG as case studies.

Right now it's all just getting started but i don't doubt that at some point i will be looking for participants for questionnaires or interviews.

So this is just to let people know who i am and what im doing and spread the word a bit, if you would like to get in touch with me then feel free, the more ideas and input i have the better!

I agree you should definitely use Transition Research Group resources and consider contacting them too. It's also worth remembering how different Transition groups are from one another - you could do a great case study or two but it might not say much about the 'transition model' because they're often so context specific in how they work. 

If you're able to come along to the 5 years on event I would be really up for chatting about it (or another time if you like but i think the birthday event will be lots of fun). My Masters dissertation was fairly disastrous but I've learned plenty about studying Transition.
